How can I thank my child’s teacher?

A group of young students came together to create this memory book for their teacher.

Page after page of drawings, personal notes, photos - it is such a gorgeous book filled with so much love.

I usually design these class books to consist of one page per child and some pages of group photos. I do not use templates for these books as the variety in style of contributions helps to highlight the children’s characters, which makes the book all the more fun!

What we need for a book like this:

  • A good quality photo of each child

  • A personal message from each child to the teacher (use a prompt if it helps, such as "things I loved about Mr X are...") This message can be handwritten or typed.

  • A drawing or other artistic contribution of choice

  • A few photos of the children at playdates with their classmates, parties etc

  • A few photos of any school events such as dress up days

We want to remember that this is a gift of love and appreciation from the children to their teacher, and therefore we don't want to stress anyone out by making a child do anything they

don't want to do. If a child isn't willing to write and/or draw, that's fine - we will make it work.

Some children are more inclined towards artwork or creating, others towards writing, and it is this variety that makes these books so unique.

I will take whatever is sent my way and work my magic with it to turn it into a sentimental memory book. (Yes, there will be tears!)

Want to create something like this for a special teacher this year? We can make it happen… get in touch to chat it through (or send this post to your class rep!)
